About Janet

Janet Brazil, originally from Newfoundland, Canada, now calls Edmonton home. In 1982, a car accident left her with a traumatic brain injury. Despite this setback, Janet found her way forward to the compassionate person she is today. Yoga entered her life in 2010, proving transformative in her healing journey. Janet became a certified Hatha yoga instructor, dedicating herself to sharing its healing benefits with brain injury survivors. As President of the Edmonton Brain Injury and Stroke Toastmasters group, she supports individuals in regaining communication skills. Amidst her busy schedule, Janet finds joy in literature, baking with her daughter, and the great outdoors.
